A Westjet Encore de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GEEN performing flight WS-3280 from Penticton,BC to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 87 people on board, was descending towards Calgary when the crew received indication of the loss of pressure in the #2 hydraulic system. The crew worked the related checklists, performed an alternate gear extension and landed safely in Calgary.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the #2 hydraulic pump had failed.
