An American Airlines Boeing 787-800, registration N807AA performing flight AA-153 from Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA) to Tokyo Narita (Japan), was enroute at FL380 about 760nm north of Seattle,WA (USA) in Canadian Airspace, when the crew noticed indications of decreasing pressure of the crew oxygen system. The crew consulted with dispatch and maintenance and decided to divert to Seattle. The aircraft descended to FL250 for the diversion, on approach to Seattle declared emergency due to overweight landing and landed safely in Seattle about 2 hours after turning south towards Seattle.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance found the captain's oxygen mask was leaking.
