An Air Macau Airbus A321-200, registration B-MBA performing flight NX-882 from Macau (Macau) to Bangkok (Thailand) with 159 people on board, was climbing through FL270 out of Macau when the crew decided to return to Macau reporting an unusual odour on board. The aircraft landed safely back on Macau's runway 34 about 45 minutes after departure.

The passengers were rebooked onto the next flight NX-880 flown by A321-200 registration B-MAJ, reached Bangkok with a delay of 4 hours as result.
