Lufthansa A320 near Frankfurt on Aug 31st 2015, fumes injure flight attendant

A Lufthansa Airbus A320-200, registration D-AIUM performing flight LH-72 from Frankfurt/Main to Dusseldorf (Germany), was departing Frankfurt when a smell of cerosine was noticed in the cabin. A short time later one of the flight attendants noticed burning respiration tract, headache, dizzyness, musle pains and wrong feel in extremities. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Dusseldorf.

The occurrence aircraft continued its schedule normally.

The following day the flight attendant, who had already been involved in two earlier accidents, see Accident: Lufthansa A321 near Berlin on Jun 7th 2013, three flight attendants injured by fumes and Accident: Lufthansa A320 enroute on Aug 14th 2013, three flight attendants injured by contaminated cabin air, and had returned to duties in Juli 2015 only, developed a feel as if being drunk, seeing double images, headache, flu like symptoms, twitching muscles in the face and legs, minor respiratory problems. The flight attendant was on sick leave until Sep 11th 2015, then returned to flying duties, but got involved in another now fourth occurrence, see Accident: Lufthansa A343 at Chicago on Sep 28th 2015, fumes injure three flight attendants.

Blood samples were examined, the "Zentrallabor für Arbeitsmedizin und Maritime Medizin" (central laboratoy for work and maritime medicine) in Hamburg found Isopropanol, n-Hexane, n-Octane and n-Decane in concentrations above normal.

On Jun 24th 2016 the BFU reported that the events of Aug 14th 2013, Aug 31st 2015 and Sep 28th 2015 have been merged, with this merge the conditions have been created to collect further information.
