A Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-88, registration N917DL performing flight DL-1303 from Atlanta,GA to Tulsa,OK (USA), was accelerating for takeoff from Atlanta's runway 26L when tower advised it appeared they lost something on the runway, the crew affirmed, it looked like they blew a tyre, they were rejecting takeoff. The crew stopped the aircraft safely, then vacated the runway and stopped at the adjacent taxiway for inspection by emergency services. The passengers disembarked onto the taxiway via stairs and were bussed to the terminal.

The FAA reported the aircraft blew a tyre on departure roll, rubber from the tyre was ingested into one of the engines (JT8D).
