A S7 Sibir Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration VQ-BVL performing flight S7-1143 from Moscow Domodedovo to Krasnodar (Russia) with 144 passengers, landed on Krasnodar's runway 05C (length 2400 meters/7870 feet) at about 18:32L (15:32Z) but overran the end of the runway by about 15 meters coming to a stop on the paved surface of the runway end safety area and taxiway.

The aircraft remained in that position for about 14 minutes, then was able to turn around, backtrack the runway and taxi to the terminal.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration VQ-BRK was dispatched to Krasnodar, performed the return flight S7-1144 and reached Moscow with a delay of 5:20 hours.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Krasnodar for about 10 hours, then positioned to Moscow Domodedovo, remained on the ground for another 5 hours and resumed service.
