A Caribbean Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration 9Y-JME performing flight BW-524 from Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) to New York JFK,NY (USA), was climbing through FL220 out of Port of Spain when the crew declared Mayday reporting they had a cabin pressure problem and needed to descend to FL100. The aircraft descended to FL100 and returned to Port of Spain for a safe landing on runway 10 about 30 minutes after departure.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration 9Y-ANU reached New York with a delay of 2 hours.
