A China Southern Airbus A380-800, registration B-6139 performing flight CZ-3999 from Guangzhou to Beijing (China), was climbing out of Guangzhou when the crew stopped the climb at 2700 meters/9000 feet after the main and body landing gear could not be retracted. The aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Guangzhou for a safe landing about 85 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A380-800 registration B-6136 reached Beijing with a delay of 7.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground 8 hours after landing.
