A Druk Air Airbus A319-100, registration A5-RGG performing flight KB-140 from Paro (Bhutan) to Guwahati (India) with 103 people on board, was descending towards Guwahati over the Garo Hills southwest of the aerodrome when the aircraft encountered hail causing damage to the nose cone as well as the right hand engine (CFM56). The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Guwahati.

A replacement Airbus A319-100 registration A5-RGF was dispatched to Guwahati to continue the next sector to Bangkok (Thailand) and reached Bangkok with a delay of 5 hours.
