A PIA Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A310-300, regstration AP-BEQ performing flight PK-894 from Karachi (Pakistan) to Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), was climbing out of Karachi's runway 25L when the crew requested to stop the climb at FL110 and return to Karachi due to a flaps problem. The aicraft burned off fuel and landed safely back on Karachi's runway 25L at a normal speed about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Airbus A310-300 registration AP-BGR departed Karachi with a delay of about 10.5 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Karachi about 13 hours after landing back.
