A Delta Airlines Boeing 747-400, registration N662US performing flight DL-275 from Detroit,MI (USA) to Tokyo Narita (Japan) with 326 people on board, was enroute at FL300 about 150nm northeast of Thunder Bay,ON (Canada) when the crew received indication of a low crew oxygen quantity, descended the aircraft to 10,000 feet and turned south to divert to Minneapolis,MN (USA), where the aircraft landed safely about 2:10 hours later.

The aircraft remained on the ground for about 2:45 hours, then departed again and reached Tokyo with a delay of 4.5 hours.

The Canadian TSB reported the crew declared emergency, descended the aircraft to 10,000 feet and dumped fuel on the way to Minneapolis.
