The French BEA reported based on information from Paraguay's AIB, that the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by Paraguay's AIB. In addition to minor damage to the right main gear and rivets in the area of the cargo hold there were 4 runway edge lights destroyed.
The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground in Ciudad del Este until Apr 1st 2016, 11 days and 4 hours, then positioned to Sao Paulo as flight JJ-9950 and resumed service afterwards.
