A Wideroe de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration LN-WDK performing flight WF-596 from Kristiansand to Bergen (Norway), was climbing out of Kristiansand when one of the propellers malfunctioned prompting the crew to return to Kristiansand for a safe landing.

Passengers reported the captain announced a technical problem with the propeller, they were returning to Kristiansand.

The airline said, the problem was minor, a backup system kept the propeller in operation.

A replacement Dash 8-400 registration LN-RDY reached Bergen with a delay of 90 minutes.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 13 hours, then resumed service.
