The airline reported the bird strike happened during takeoff but did not cause any damage.
The airport reported the aircraft departed through a flock of seagulls and received a number of impacts on the wings.
A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-FHA reached Munich as flight D8-6664 with a delay of 7 hours.
The occurrence aircraft, although undamaged as reported by the airline, is still on the ground at Alicante about 12 hours after landing back.
