A Calm Air Avions de Transport Regional ATR-42-300, registration C-FMAK performing flight MO-550 from Rankin Inlet,NU to Repulse Bay,NU (Canada) with 23 people on board, was enroute about 65nm northeast of Rankin Inlet when the crew reported a hydraulic leak and advised they were returning to Rankin Inlet. The crew subsequently declared emergency and prepared for a flaps up landing. The aircraft landed safely and was towed to the apron.

The Canadian TSB reported that maintenance replaced an O-ring, replenished the hydraulic system and returned the aircraft to service.
