A Royal Flight Boeing 757-200, registration VQ-BTN performing flight 4R-7772 from Goa (India) to Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) with 224 people on board, was enroute at FL340 about 150nm southeast of Astrakhan (Russia) when the crew decided to divert to Astrakhan reporting electronic problems on board. The aircraft landed safely on Astrakhan's runway 27 about 30 minutes later.

A replacement Boeing 757-200 registration VQ-BTB was dispatched to Astrakhan and resumed the flight departing Astrakhan as flight 4R-9906 about 8 hours after landing of VQ-BTN.
