A United Boeing 737-800, registration N76505 performing flight UA-1731 from San Diego,CA to Houston,TX (USA), was on approach to Houston at about 12,000 feet around 14:16L (19:16Z) when the aircraft encountered turbulence. The crew continued for a safe landing on Houston Intercontinental Airport's runway 27 about 13 minutes later.

The FAA reported a flight attendant received injuries in the turbulence encounter.

The incident aircraft resumed service after about 3 hours on the ground.
