After working the checklists the crew requested a low approach to runway 28R to have the right main landing gear inspected from the ground, the gear didn't indicate down and locked. Following the low approach to about 500 feet AGL the crew was told the right main landing gear appeared to be in position, positioned for another approach to runway 28R, landed safely about 37 minutes after the first go around, vacated the runway and stopped on the adjacent taxiway. The crew subsequently reported that upon touchdown the warning indication extinguished, all gear now showed down and locked, and taxied the aircraft to the apron.
