Airbus A321 at Perpignan on Feb 12th 2016, tail strike on landing

An Airbus Airbus A321Neo, registration D-AVXB performing test flight AIB-04XB from Toulouse to Perpignan (France), landed on Perpignan's runway 33 but struck its tail onto the runway surface. The aircraft rolled out without further incident but was unable to continue its test schedule due to the damage received.

Airbus said, the damage can be repaired but will take a couple of weeks. Although the certification schedule for the A321Neo will be delayed by a few weeks as result, the delivery schedule should not be impacted.

The occurrence aircraft was able to ferry to Toulouse on Feb 15th 2016 where the repairs will be done.
