A Sun Express Boeing 737-800, registration TC-SEE performing flight XQ-368 (dep Oct 19th) from Antalya (Turkey) to Paderborn (Germany) with 172 passengers and 6 crew, was on an ILS Cat I approach to Paderborn's runway 24, runway visual range (RVR) was reported at 800 meters/2600 feet. The approach was flown on autopilot until descending through 200 feet AGL, when the autopilot was disconnected. After the autopilot disconnected the aircraft's heading changed from about 240 degrees magnetic to 232 degrees magnetic and the Localizer deviation changed from 0.00 to 0.05, the heading subsequently changed to 243 degrees about 24 seconds after the autopilot was disconnected. About 14 seconds after the autopilot disconnected the GPWS automatically announced fifty, fourty, thirty, twenty, ten, the first officer called "Go Around Captain, Go Ar", the captain then stated "Ahhh, it was too late".

The aircraft's right main gear touched down first on the left hand edge of the runway followed by the nose gear and the left main gear touching down on soft ground at 01:02L (23:02Z Oct 19th). The aircraft rolled over soft ground for 260 meters before the aircraft returned onto the runway and was slowed on the runway. About 50 seconds after touchdown the crew told tower that they had "sat on left side of the runway eh just for information." The aircraft vacated the runway via taxiway D and taxied to the apron.

A subsequent runway inspection found three runway lights were damaged, there were glass splinters and dirt on the runway.

The aircraft received damage to four fan blades of the left hand engine (CFM56), the left retractable landing light was damaged, the left trailing edge flaps received two holes of 18mm and 10mm diameter, the left engine's thrust reverser received damage in three places and the left nose gear tyre received damage and was completely deflated.

Germany's BFU wrote in their October 2015 bulletin in German releasing the preliminary report into the occurrence, that there were tyre tracks of the right main gear starting on the left runway egde 630 meters past the runway threshold, 47.5 meters past the point of right main gear touchdown the tyre marks of the nose gear began and about 74 meters after right main gear touchdown the tracks of the left hand main gear began on soft ground. All three tracks were visible on soft ground for 260 meters before the aircraft returned onto the runway.

The captain (59, ATPL, about 17,900 hours total experience) was assisted by a first officer (28, CPL, 704 hours total).

On Feb 19th 2016 the BFU released the English Version of their interim report.
