A Saudi Arabian Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration HZ-AS31 performing flight SV-593 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Gassim (Saudi Arabia) with 20 passengers and 7 crew, had just levelled off at cruise FL300 when the crew reported a cracked windshield and decided to return to Dubai. The aircraft descended normally and landed safely on Dubai's runway 12L about 30 minutes later.

The flight was cancelled.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Dubai 27 hours after landing.
