A Republic Airways Embraer ERJ-170 on behalf of American Airlines, registration N802MD performing flight YX-4447/AA-4447 from Bentonville,AR to New York La Guardia,NY (USA), was enroute at FL370 about 50nm eastsoutheast of Pittsburgh,PA (USA) when a cockpit window cracked prompting the crew to divert to Pittsburgh for a safe landing about an hour later.

A replacement ERJ-170 registration N811MD reached New York with a delay of 2.5 hours.

The FAA reported the aircraft received minor damage occurred when a cockpit window cracked.
