An Austral Embraer ERJ-190 on behalf of Aerolineas Argentinas, registration LV-CHR performing flight AR-2280 from Buenos Aires Ezeiza,BA (Argentine) to Santiago (Chile) with 74 passengers and 5 crew, was climbing out of Ezeiza when the crew stopped the climb at 5000 feet reporting they could not fully retract the nose gear. The aircraft burned off fuel and returned to Ezeiza Airport for a safe landing about 45 minutes after departure.

A replacement Embraer ERJ-190 registration LV-CKZ reached Santiago with a delay of 3 hours.

A passenger reported there were vibrations during the last seconds of the takeoff run. The captain later announced that during gear retraction the nose gear doors indicated open.
