A Boliviana de Aviacion Boeing 737-300, registration CP-2552 performing flight OB-580 from Santa Cruz to Sucre (Bolivia) with 129 passengers and 6 crew, landed on Sucre's runway 05 at about 10:15L (13:15Z) and slowed, however, went off the right hand edge and past the end of the paved surface of the runway coming to a stop nearly perpendicular to the runway center line with all gear on soft ground. There were no injuries, the aircraft did not sustain damage.

The airline reported that the aircraft went off the runway when they wanted to turn around at slow, controlled speed to backtrack the runway to the terminal.
