A Sky Regional Embraer ERJ-175 on behalf of Air Canada, registration C-FFYG performing flight RS-7662/AC-7662 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Toronto,ON (Canada), was climbing through 14,000 feet out of Chicago when the crew received a fire indication for the left hand engine (CF34), shut the engine down, discharged the fire agent and declared emergency. As the fire indication did not cease the second fire agent was discharged, the fire indication extinguished. The aircraft landed safely back in Chicago about 30 minutes after departure, emergency services did not find any trace of fire, heat or smoke.

On Dec 21st 2015 the Canadian TSB reported maintenance did not find any evidence of fire and no damage. The aircraft was returned to service.
