A Delta Airlines Boeing 717-200, registration N943AT performing flight DL-1928 from Minneapolis,MN to Denver,CO (USA) with 160 people on board, was on approach to Denver when the crew reported the right main gear indicated unsafe and went around. The crew advised they'd like to perform a low approach to have the gear inspected from the ground and were vectored for a low approach to runway 16L. Established on final runway 16L the crew advised, they had received three greens in the meantime and would like to do a full stop landing but needed to be towed off the runway. The aircraft landed safely on runway 16L with open gear doors. Emergency services reported the gear doors were touching the ground.

The aircraft was towed to the apron.

The FAA reported "the gear doors scrapped the runway" causing unknown damage. (Editorial note: A quick radio check revealed runway 16L/34R resumed operation after the aircraft was towed off the runway.)
