A Porter Airlines de Havilland Dash 8-400, registration C-GLQJ performing flight PD-265 from Ottawa,ON to Halifax,NS (Canada) with 54 people on board, was nearing the top of descent into Halifax when the crew received indication of total loss of hydraulic fluid of the #1 hydraulic system together with the messages "#1 ENG HYD PUMP" and "#1 ISO VLV". The crew declared emergency and continued for a safe landing in Halifax. The crew taxied the aircraft to near the gate, the aircraft was towed the last 20 feet into the gate.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance replaced the #1 engine driven hydraulic pump, filters and relief valve.
