Avianca A318 near Bogota on Dec 11th 2015, engine shut down in flight

On Dec 23rd 2015 the French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that examination of the left hand engine revealed fractured turbine blades. Colombia's Accident Investigation Board rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
