A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N673DL performing flight DL-1088 (Dep Nov 28th) from Anchorage,AK to Minneapolis,MN (USA) with 186 people on board, was enroute at FL370 about 80nm eastnortheast of Fort Nelson,BC (Canada) when the crew noticed the cabin altitude was climbing at about 2000 fpm. The crew donned their oxygen masks and initiated an emergency descent. While descending throgh FL330 the crew noticed a #1 auto pressurization indication and switched to the #2 cabin pressure system. The cabin altitude, that had already climbed above 10,000 feet, began to decrease again, the crew levelled off at FL270 as the cabin pressure returned to normal. After consulting with company dispatch and maintenance it was decided to continue the flight to destination, the aircraft climbed back to FL310 and FL330 and landed safely in Minneapolis without further incident.

The Canadian TSB reported that after landing the #1 lower pressure relief valve was found open. The #1 lower pressure relief valve, #1 cabin pressure controller, outflow valve and outflow valve actuator were replaced.
