A Bearskin Airlines Swearingen SA-227AC Metro III, registration C-GYRL performing flight JV-506 from Kitchener,ON to Timmins,ON (Canada), was climbing through 1900 feet out of Kitchener's runway 32 about 0.5nm northwest of the aerodrome when the crew reported they had missed an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by 10 feet. The aircraft continued for a safe landing in Timmins without further incident.

The Canadian TSB rated the occurrence as "risk of collision", there were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft.
