An Iberia Airbus A340-300, registration EC-GLE performing flight IB-6341 from Madrid,SP (Spain) to Guatemala City (Guatemala), was climbing out of Madrid when the crew stopped the climb at FL250 reporting a cracked windshield, entered a hold, dumped fuel and returned to Madrid for a safe landing on runway 32L about 2:15 hours after departure.

The airline confirmed a "technical incident".

A replacement A340-300 registration EC-GHX departed for Guatemala City as flight IB-41 and is estimated to reach the destination with a delay of 5.5 hours.
