A Zhejiang Loong Air Boeing 737-300 freighter, registration B-2954 performing flight GJ-8712 from Hangzhou to Kunming (China), was climbing out of Hangzhou when a runway inspection found a substantial amount of tyre debris on the departure runway, that was identified to belong to B-2954. The crew, after being informed about the tyre debris, decided to return to Hangzhou, performed two low approaches to have the landing gear inspected from the ground which identified both right main tyres had burst. Emergency services prepared for the arrival of the aircraft, the crew burned off fuel and landed back in Hangzhou about 4 hours after departure. Emergency services foamed the aircraft from all sides after it came to a stop making it appear to have stopped on a deep snow cover. The aircraft sustained additional damage to the right main wheels.

The runway was closed for about 2 hours until the aircraft was moved off the runway and the "snow" was removed.
