An Aurora Airlines Airbus A319-100 on behalf of Aeroflot, registration VP-BWL performing flight SU-5684 from Khabarovsk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (Russia) with 129 passengers, was climbing through FL360 out of Khabarovsk when the captain's fixed (cockpit aft side) window cracked prompting the crew to return to Khabarovsk, where the aircraft landed safely back about 80 minutes after departure.

The Far Eastern Department of Transport's Investigation Committee (DVSUT) reported that about 19 minutes into the flight a windshield burst promtping the commander to return the aircraft to Khabarovsk. An investigation has been opened.
