An American Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N174AA performing flight AA-230 from Salvador,BA (Brazil) to Miami,FL (USA), was enroute at FL380 over the Caribbean Sea when the aircraft encountered turbulence causing injuries to a passenger and two flight attendants. The crew descended the aircraft to FL360 and continued the flight to Miami for a safe landing about 2:45 hours later.

The FAA reported 3 persons on board sustained minor injuries when the aircraft encountered turbulence at about 06:10Z.
