An Allied Services Limited Antonov AN-12B, registration EY-406 performing a freight flight from Juba to Paloich (South Sudan) with 13 passengers and 5 crew, departed Juba's runway 13 but impacted a hill about 800 meters past the aerodrome/1100 meters past the runway end and came to rest at the banks of White Nile River. Two adults and a child are reported to have survived the crash with serious injuries, 15 occupants are reported killed, a number of people on the ground perished, too.

Police reported 41 people were killed in the crash.

South Sudan Authorities reported the aircraft did not gain height due to overload.

On Nov 4th 2015 the office of South Sudan's President confirmed there were two survivors on board of the aircraft, a member of the crew and a child.

Subsequently the press office of South Sudan's President reported that according to eye witnesses of the crash one of the left hand engines failed as the aircraft rotated for takeoff and another one failed immediately afterwards, almost simultaneously. All crew were killed in the crash, however, there were three survivors on board of the aircraft, two adults and a child, one adult still in critical condition.

The airline stated they have no information.

Antonov presented condolences to the families of the victims reporting that the aircraft had not been permitted to fly as required maintenance as well as the extension of service life and the necessary work to enable service life extension had not been performed in time. The aircraft had been built on the company's factory in Tashkent in 1971 and was registered in the Republic of Tajikistan. The Civil Aviation Authority of Sudan, leading the investigation into the crash, as well as the Civil Aviation Authority in Tajikistan as state of registry have informed the Civil Aviation Authority of the Ukraine (state of construction) in compliance with ICAO requirements, the CAA Ukraine is going to decide whether the Ukraine is going to participate in the investigation of the crash.
