A Smartwings Boeing 737-700, registration OK-SWW performing flight QS-1181 from Bourgas (Bulgaria) to Prague (Czech Republic), was on approach to Prague when the crew stopped the descent at 6000 feet reporting problems with the flaps, subsequently requested emergency services on standby advising they had asymmetric flaps, they needed to land at a higher than normal speed. The aircraft touched down on runway 06 at a higher than normal speed (about 170 knots over ground) and slowed safely.

The Czech UZPLN reported in their quarterly bulletin that the same issue had occurred on Sep 10th, 11th and 12th as well. A faulty position sensor for the right hand flaps was replaced.
