The Airport reported an Airport employee had mistakenly turned onto the runway from a taxiway. He had not been certified to drive near the runway, his license to drive airside was rescinded.

The FAA opened an investigation.

The ERJ-175 was able to depart about 40 minutes later and reached Kansas City with a delay of 30 minutes.
