A Delta Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-88, registration N962DL performing flight DL-1946 from Atlanta,GA to Cleveland,OH (USA), was climbing out of Atlanta's runway 08R when the crew requested to return to the airport due to an abnormal gear indication, no services were needed. The aircraft landed safely back on runway 08L about 20 minutes after departure. The aircraft vacated the runway but stopped on the adjacent taxiway due to the gear doors hanging down and requested maintenance to attend the aircraft.

A replacement MD-88 registration N925DL reached Cleveland with a delay of 2:15 hours.
