A number of passengers were bussed to Eindhoven, a replacement Boeing 737-800 registration EI-ESZ was dispatched to Frankfurt Hahn and reached Eindhoven as flight FR-584 with a delay of 4:15 hours.
The airline confirmed the crew had to perform an emergency descent due to the loss of cabin pressure, the passenger oxygen masks were released by the crew. On Sep 15th 2015 The Aviation Herald received the following additional statement: "This flight from Chania (Greece) to Eindhoven (14 Sep) diverted to Frankfurt Hahn due to an inflight depressurisation. In line with standard procedure, the crew deployed oxygen masks and initiated a controlled decent. The aircraft landed normally, customers disembarked and Ryanair engineers worked to return the aircraft to service. A spare aircraft was positioned from Dublin to operate this flight and Ryanair sincerely apologised to its customers for this delay."
On Nov 16th 2015 the Dutch Safety Board reported in their quarterly bulletin that the occurrence was rated a serious incident and is being investigated by Germany's BFU. The Dutch Safety Board was asked for assistance with the cockpit voice recorder as both flight crew members were Dutch Nationality.
