An Elal Boeing 737-800, registration 4X-EKI performing flight LY-5121 from Tel Aviv (Israel) to Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) with 183 people on board, had just reached cruise level 340 when the crew descended the aircraft to FL200, maintaining heading towards Paris, reporting problems with the cabin pressurization systems. The problems were resolved and the aircraft climbed again to FL340 but needed to abort the climb at FL320 and descend to FL100 again. The crew decided to return to Tel Aviv, burned off fuel and landed safely back about 2:20 hours after departure.

A replacement aircraft is expected to reach Paris with a delay of 4.5 hours.
