A Rusline Embraer EMB-120, registration VQ-BBX performing flight RG-226 from Ulyanovsk to Moscow Domodedovo (Russia) with 28 passengers and 3 crew, was on approach to Moscow Domodedovo when the crew could not extend the nose gear, aborted the approach and entered a hold to work the related checklists, however without success. The crew prepared for a nose gear up landing about 45 minutes after aborting the first approach. The aircraft touched down on its main gear, the crew held the nose up as long as practicable then lowered the nose onto the runway. The aircraft came to a safe stop on the runway. There were no injuries.

Rosaviatsia reported the crew was unable to lower the gear despite repeated attempts and subsequently performed a gear up landing.

Rusline currently operates three EMB-120s: VQ-BBX, VQ-BCB and VQ-BCL.
