A Lucky Air Airbus A319-100, registration B-6212 performing flight 8L-9881 from Kunming to Wuhan (China), was enroute when a female passenger (30) reclined her seat to the dissatisfaction of a girl (18) sitting behind her. The girl, travelling with her mother, aunt and a female class mate, began to kick the seat in front of her with the feet and an altercation arose involved all 5 women including the woman clipping the girl around her ears, girl, mother, aunt and class mate punching the woman in the front seat with their fists. Cabin crew was eventually able to calm the women, the captain had already requested police to await the aircraft upon landing advising none of the women were permitted to continue the flight to the ultimate destination Shenyang and continued for a safe landing in Wuhan, police removed all five women from the aircraft.

The airline refused to carry any of the 5 women to Shenyan, the needed to purchase tickets on another carrier.

The girl was sentenced to pay 1000 Yuan (157 US$) compensation for medical expenses incurred after being found guilty to have started the altercation.
