An Air Transat Airbus A330-200, registration C-GTSZ performing flight TS-701 from Montreal,QC to Toronto,ON (Canada) with 219 people on board, was on approach to Toronto's runway 05 when the crew could not select the flaps beyond position 1. The aircraft went around, the crew declared PAN and entered a hold to work the abnormal checklists. The aircraft subsequently landed safely on runway 05 at a higher than normal speed.

The Canadian TSB reported maintenance determined the flap/slat lever was jammed and could not be moved beyond position 1. The command sensor unit and the flap/slat lever assembly was replaced.
