A THY Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300, registration TC-JNO performing flight TK-50 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Tokyo Narita (Japan), was enroute at FL350 about 100nm eastnortheast of Trabzon about to enter the airspace of Georgia when a flight attendant received a deep cut at the hand by a broken glass. The flight crew decided to divert to Trabzon maintaining high speed all the way (320 knots over ground at 4000 feet) and landed safely about 20 minutes later. The flight attendant was taken to a hospital, where the flight attendant's wound needed to be stitched (reportedly three stitches).

As there was still a sufficient number of flight attendants remaining on board the aircraft was refueled and continued the journey to Tokyo arriving at the destination with a delay of 2 hours.
