The runway was closed for about one hour.
On Jun 23rd 2015 the French BEA reported in their weekly bulletin that the aircraft landed on runway 23, departed the runway to the left about 1500 meters down the runway and continued parallel to the runway center line on the grass before coming to a stop. There were no injuries and the aircraft did not receive any damage. Algeria's Accident Investigation Board rated the occurrence a serious incident and opened an investigation.
