A Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737-800, registration LN-DYH performing flight DY-5181 from Helsinki (Finland) to Barcelona,SP (Spain), was climbing out of Helsinki when the aircraft received a lightning strike. The crew continued the climb and levelled off at FL340 about 110nm southwest of Tallin (Estonia) and about 350nm from Copenhagen (Denmark) when the crew decided to divert to Copenhagen. The aircraft descended to FL100 and landed safely on Copenhagen's runway 22L about 70 minutes after leaving FL340.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 registration LN-NGC continued the flight and reached Barcelona with a delay of about 3 hours.

The occurrence aircraft is still on the ground in Copenhagen 10 hours after landing.
