A China United Airlines Boeing 737-800, registration B-1752 performing flight KN-5958 from Fuzhou to Beijing Nanyuan (China), was climbing through 9200 meters (FL300) out of Fuzhoe when the crew initiated an emergency descent to 5800 meters (FL192), the passenger oxygen masks were released, due to the failure of an air conditioning system and resulting loss of cabin pressure. The aircraft subsequently returned to Fuzhou for a safe landing about 45 minutes after the begin of the emergency descent.
