An American Airlines Airbus A321-200, registration N169UW performing flight AA-1818 from Los Angeles,CA to Charlotte,NC (USA), was enroute at FL350 about 150nm southwest of Memphis,TN (USA) when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence causing injuries to a flight attendant. The crew continued the flight for a safe landing in Charlotte about 90 minutes later.

The FAA reported a flight attendant received unknown injuries when the aircraft encountered severe turbulence at 23:20Z.
