A Delta Airlines Boeing 757-200, registration N548US performing flight DL-1471 from Los Angeles,CA to Atlanta,GA (USA) with 205 people on board, was climbing out of Los Angeles' runway 25R when the crew stopped the climb at about 15500 feet reporting an electrical odour on board and decided to return to Los Angeles, air traffic controllers advising other traffic they might need to pull them off the approach due to an inbound emergency. The aircraft landed safely back on runway 25R about 20 minutes after departure.
