A Wideroe de Havilland Dash 8-100, registration LN-WIF performing flight WF-702 from Trondheim to Bronnoysund (Norway) with 22 people on board, was on approach to Bronnoysund when the crew went around due to the failure of an engine (PW123). The crew worked the related checklists, shut the engine down, positioned for another approach and landed safely in Bronnoysund.

The onward flight WF-712 to Sandnessjoen was cancelled.
